Nearly 1 in 5 Philadelphians have a disability, which is why MossRehab is so important—we’re here to provide rehabilitative services in an atmosphere of respect. For more than a decade, Julie Hensler-Cullen, Director of Education and Quality, has offered disability etiquette training in local businesses, universities, healthcare organizations, and more. Inspired by her example and MossRehab’s leadership in advocating for and treating people with disabilities, I applied for a grant from the Albert Einstein Society.

Now, we are creating a series of humorous videos showing disability etiquette gone wrong. We’re also developing a train-the-trainer program to empower additional trainers to reach a wider audience. Overall, the program aims to provide presentations to over 600 people annually.
