NEVER FORGETTING FRIENDS ON THE FRONT LINE
TE Connectivity, a global manufacturer of highly engineered connectivity and sensing products that make a connected world possible, is doing its part in protecting health care workers. They will be donating up to 100,000 face shields to these front-line medical professionals around the world.
Thanks to a former colleague who now works at TE, Einstein is one of the local hospital networks benefiting from these donations. “During the time I worked for Einstein as a manager of organizational communications I came in contact with caring employees from across the system who were committed to helping patients, the community, and each other,” explains Vernita Colclough, senior communications analyst at TE. “TE’s face shield donations initiative provided an opportunity to help protect those same healthcare workers who are now putting their lives at risk on a daily basis.”
As of May 18, nearly 60,000 face shields have been distributed to hospitals, nursing homes and emergency personnel in 16 U.S. states including Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, California, North Carolina, and Texas, as well as Germany and Mexico. Medical workers in other European nations should be receiving donations in the coming weeks.
Adds Colclough, “I know how much this equipment means to the medical staff and to their well-being, so to be able to provide these to them is so satisfying. They are helping save lives every day and we need to protect them.”
